Always Thankful

This card is simple but satisfying. Reminds me of something. Oh yes, the Lion King. Slimy but satisfying. I know we all love making those WOW! cards but sometimes it is just as satisfying to make a simple one and the recipient loves it just the same.

We continue to wait to sign the papers for our new home. We can only hope that it will be sometime this week. Stay tuned for an update on the "Signing of the Docs."

Gently Falling

This card is made with the new "Spice Cake" DSP in the "Holiday Mini Catalog" on page 17. I posted a picture of this stamp set on Aug 31. I love the colors in this card. They are not the usual fall color but still they are very pretty.

I also like the 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon that is on this card. The Ruffled Ribbon is the new ribbon for all the "In Colors". This is a great Ribbon to use to accent your cards.

Out on a Limb

You just got to love this card! I really like this stamp set. I also want to use it for a Thanksgiving card. You will just have to wait and see what I do with this stamp set for Thanksgiving.

Today is the first day of school. Summertime sure did go by fast. But here we are thinking about Halloween and all the fun things that come with that holiday.

Here is a great Halloween card, especially if you like more of the gory Halloween stuff.

Today is the first day of September and that means to me the beginning of Fall. It is 43 degrees here this morning and I am loving it. Don't you just love the stamp set "Wicked Cool" from Stampin' Up? I have so much fun with this stamps set.

I am using this stamp set in our Halloween Class at the end of this month. There are so many fun things you can create with this stamp set. So lets get together and let me teach you some fun techniques.

Gently Falling

Tomorrow on September 1st Stampin Up will unveil their "Holiday Mini Catalog." I will be trying to feature cards on here from that new catalog and of course the Idea & Current Catalog.

This is a card I made for a swap I was in for the "Holiday Mini Catalog" I love it when Fall comes. The cool air and the beautiful colors of Fall. This are the colors I have captured in this card. Let me know if you like this card. I would love to teach yo this technique of blending the fall colors.

This stamp set is called "Gently Falling" and there are 12 stamps in this set. You will find it in the "Holiday Mini Catalog" on page 16 & 17. This is a 2 step stamp set. I am sure I will be featuring this stamp set often. I love to make fall cards.

You will also find the "Spice Cake" Designer Series Paper on page 17. I am going to have to order myself some of this paper. It will be fun to teach some fall and Thanksgiving cards with this paper.

Halloween Classes

This last weekend I had a wonderful time at the "Twice on the Rack" event at the Reedville Church. I had the opportunity to meet so many new people. I love to meet new people and expand my circle of friendship.

There were many people that want to take my Halloween Class. So I am posting it here for all to see what we will be doing. Below you will find the "Scaredy Cat" frame and mug. In the mug we will placing some suckers that have been decorated for Halloween. We will also be making 2 or 3 Halloween cards. Please let me know below if you would like to join us in this activity.

Lovely as a Tree

This card reminds me of my son. He loved going to Sunrise and going snowboarding. The stamp set "Extreme Snowboard" is now retired but you could put anything in the middle.

"Lovely As A Tree" is one of my favorite stamp sets that Stampin' Up offers. I am so glad it is still in the catalog. I enjoy featuring this stamp set on my blog. You will find this stamp set in the Stampin' Up 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalog on page 114.

In Wilderness

Each day I will and pick a new stamp set to feature. Today is the "In Wilderness" stamp set.I almost didn't get this set--I am so glad I did, makes great masculine cards. Here is the card we made with this stamp set. My twelve year old daughter and I work on a new card each day. Or we try to when we have time. She loves wolves and decided this is the one we should make. It think it turned out really well.

Last month was my birthday. One of my customers sent this birthday card to me. She did such a great job on it I just had to share it with all of you. Gerri is really getting good a making cards. Thank you so much Gerri for this beautiful card.

Below I have posted some pictures of things that Gerri used in making this card. There is one item that I posted that was not used to make this card. Can you tell what was not used to make this Happy Birthday/Butterfly card? Leave us a comment and let us know which accessory was not used.

The Petty Postage stamp set and the Postage Stamp Punch. Can you see the Basic Rhinestone on each flower? I liked the little extra they added.

With a "Touch of Kindness" you can send someone a kind thought, a thank you or you can just tell someone how lovely you think the day is. We had a wonderful weekend. I hope you all did too!

This card is a wonderful example of using the Textured Impression Embossing Folder "Elegant Bouquet." You can see the dry embossing in the background of the card. It gives it that summertime look. The stem of this flower is the Textured Impression Embossing Folder "Elegant Lines." And if you have some of those Rhinestones you can add a bit of Linen Thread and attach a Rhinestone. What a cute card this is.

I have featured this "Touch of Kindness" on my blog so you too can see another example of the wonderful cards you can make from this stamp set. You will find this stamp set in the Stampin' Up Summer Mini Catalog on page 25. Stampin Up has made a few cards for you to see using this stamp set.

Hello Blossoms

Hello and good morning! This card is a bright shinny way to say hello to someone. Here in Oregon we are just starting to get bright shinny days. It has been a wonderful summer here and I have enjoyed being back here.

This card also features the, "thank you for being you" salutation that goes with the "Bold Blossom" set in the Stampin Up Mini Catalog. What a cute way to say "Hello" to someone. I like the way the Versa Mark pad was used to stamp the "Hello" on and then the Stampin' Pastels were used over the Versa Mark ink to add color. If you need more information of how to do this let me know.

I did not post yesterday because we are having problems with our Internet service. But for now it is working great! And I can only hope that it will continue until I get this posted.

In the Stampin' Up Summer Mini Catalog you will find this stamp set. Sandals are so "Sunny Fun". I love it when the season changes to summertime and we can wear our sandals again. Growing up I remember getting new sandals every summer. It was so much fun to have new Sandals.

This is a great card that you can put any salutation on and send it out to a good friend. I love the rhinestones that are on the sandals. If you love to use Watercolor Crayons this is a great stamp set to use with it.

School is starting in Arizona. Here in Oregon they have another month. But this is a great time to get the Stampin' Up "Recess" stamp set in the Summer Mini Catalog. Our kiddo's will be going back to school very soon and this is a stamp set you can use when you are scrapbooking their back to school days.

Here you will see the stamp set featured in these two cards but it can be used for so many great things. I love how the hopscotch is on black paper to look like a chalk board or the black top at many schools.

There are so many beautiful flowers that grow here in Oregon, so I thought I would feature these cards today. The Stampin Up Summer Mini Catalog has this stamp set "On The Grow" for sale in on page 14. You can make some really fun, cute cards with this stamp set.

Summer Splash

We all love to have fun in the sun. This stamp set is found in the Stampin Up Mini Catalog and is called "Summer Splash". This is a great stamp set to have for making cards and scrapbooking your summer adventures.

This blog entry shows the sun in the card below. I punched out two large stars and stacked them on top of each other. Then I punched out a 3/4 inch circle with a Stampin Dimensionals behind the circle. This one is so much fun to make. This card is another great card that you can recreate. The Stampin' Emboss Powder was used to create this card. The Open Sea

I love to be at the ocean. A week ago we went to Oceanside and spent the evening on the beach. I love the smell of the air and cool breeze. I miss Arizona but I do love being back in Oregon.

This week I will be having an event at Summa Real Estate Downtown Hillsboro. The event will be at 321 N Main Street. This stamp set is a Hostess stamp set from Level 2. This is "Fast and Fabulous" stamp set. As you can see there is no price listed below. That is because the only way to get this stamp set is by hosting a workshop.

This card is made from the hostess stamp set that is in Level 1. "Because I Care" is the stamp set that is used on page 11 in the Stampin Up Catalog.

This next card was made with a Level 2 stamp set on page 13 in the Stampin Up Catalog. This stamp set is " Fast & Fabulous. This is such a quick and easy card to make. I love the "Mini Library Clip". You can find those on page 187 in the Current Catalog.

This last card is one of my favorites. Again this card is made from the stamp set "Because I Care".

Spring is in the air! I love this stamp set "Easter Blossoms". I created this card to do at workshop. I was a little bit more involved but is a lot of fun to make. And the card turns out so cute. If you want more information about this card just let me know or leave a comment out it.

I am hoping to get on here at lest once a week if not more. I am sorry I have not posted for so long. In Aug a son got married, another son left on a mission and a daughter got married. Soon another daughter will graduate from High School and we will be moving to Oregon. So in the last year much has happened and I have faltered in posting on my blog. I will strive to post more often and know that while I am moving I will try to update you ASAP.

Scenic Season

For a very long time it has been a tradition for our family to head out to the forest or the u-cut Christmas Tree lot and cut down our tree. At the first of this month I went to Oregon to help my friend with her Christmas Tree Farm. While I was there I chose our Christmas tree. It came in on the train this last week and we will be heading to the valley to pick it up this weekend. Then on Sunday we can put up our tree and enjoy a week with our children sharing our time together.

I am sorry I have not posted for a week or two, but I did have a lovely time in Oregon at the Christmas Tree Farm.

This last week I have come to know that it is getting harder and harder to purchase a nativity. My sister went to five different stores and could not find even one. This is the season for remembering the Savior's birth. Therefore I am posting this card with the Holy family on it. My small way of sharing with others the reason for the season. This card was created by Joyce Wilson. I hope all of you have a wonderful Christmas.

The Lord is good to us all and I am happy I have met so many good people through Stampin Up. The friends I have made over the past four years are, in my eyes, tender mercies of the Lord to me. Thank you for coming to the Open Houses this past year. We have had some fun times.

Christmas Favor Box

This is a cute little box that you can get at Dollar Tree. You will find them in the wedding department at Dollar Tree. For one dollar you get 12 favor boxes. They come all white and so you have a wonderful blank canvas to work with. I love the way this one turned out. This is what I have my customers that brought a adult friend that is not on my mailing list.

This card has been stamped with the new Shimmer Paint that is sold in the New Holiday Mini Catalog. It is so much fun to use this Shimmer paint with rubber stamps.

This last card is made by using the "Magic Snowflake" Technique. All of these cards are fun to learn how to make. I will be teaching in Show Low in Oct. if you would like to join us. The classes are every Tuesday from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. I hope to see you there.
