Weekend From ...............

What a weekend it has been. On Friday morning the volvo broke down about a mile from the house. The girls and I puts it off the dirt road and walked back to the house to get the suburban. I drove into town and dropped them off at the school. Came home and at 11:00 I took Adam to work. The volvo was still sitting there waiting for Tim to come and fix it.

That evening at about 5:00 we came home from town and the volvo was gone. I went to the nearest neighbor and asked if they had seen the volvo that was out by the road. He said, "Was that your car?" I told him yes. He asked how long it had been there. I told him it broke down this morning and my husband would be up to fix it tomorrow. He said he was sorry but that he called the sheriff and they came and towed it away.

TOO SAY THE LEAST I WAS MAD!!!!!!! So I went home and called the Apache County Sheriffs office and they said yes it had been towed to St. Johns which is 45 min. away from here. By this time I was so mad my face was red and feeling quite hot. I spoke witht he depute that came out and he told me that my neighbor reported a car out on the side of the road that had a fowl smell coming from it. So they came right out to check it out. Depute Wallace checked out the car and the trunk and found nothing to stand behind the report of a bad smell. But him and his sergeant decided that the tools in the back of the car were not safe and that they should tow the car. So for some $50.00 tools I had to pay $345.00 to get it from the towing company. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid!!!!!! I am going to call their head depute to see if I can get some of my money back. And my neighbor will be getting a letter from me to let him know what a lying busy body he is.

Tyler Leaving for Basic Military Training

Here we are just before Tyler stays at the hotel for the night

This is Tyler and me before he heads out to Texas. What a cuddle bear!!!!

Father and Son! What a wonderful picture of the two!!!!

Tyler entered the Air Force on Sept. 16, 2008. I know he will do a wonderful job in the military. We are so happy for him. We pray for his success and we know the Lord will guild and protect him in all he does.

We are so thankful to have good children that set forward with a plan in life and make it happen for themselves. What greater blessing could we ask for as parents. Tim and I are hoping to go and see Tyler graduate. If we do I will post the pictures of the graduation.

Punch Book

Isn't this a cute book? I have created this book for the embellishments we will be making in our rubber stamping class.
The flower is made from the window punch and the circles punches in the middle. The leafs are made from ribbon. On the left of the book are pieces of ribbon to add the cuteness of the book!!! To the right are tabs that help me to find an embellishment quickly.
We will be making this book for our class at NPC here in Snowflake. If you have not had a chance to sign-up for the class do it now at the Silver Creek Campus. The class is $25.00 and the supply fee is $40.00.

Rubber Stamping Technique Class

I have been thinking for a year, "Where could I do a rubber stamping class." I was listening to a interview on Stampin Up and the idea was mentioned of doing a continuing education class at the local college. So I headed down to NPC here in Snowflake and I asked about doing a class. Loyelin, the coordinator, said that would be great.

My first class in on Tue. Sept 23 at 7:00pm. The class is every Tue. night thur Oct 14. We will be working with punches, embossing powder, dry embossing, coloring with the aqua painters, watercolor crayons, using backgroung stamps, masking, using the stamp-a-ma-jig, and so much more. We will be making Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas cards.

I am so excited to do this! I love to teach and I think those that sign-up will have a wonderful time getting together with others. It a great time to get away and enjoy creating some fun cards. These techniques can be used with scrapbooking also.

Don't miss out on this great opportunity. You will receive an aqua painter brush, versamark, stazon ink pad and a stamp journal.
